LeBron James has been compared to many things in his life including a lion, a king, and a freight train. On one play in the latter part of the 2017-18 season, LeBron was a magician. After LeBron receives the ball outside of the three-point line, Sixers players Robert Covington and Joel Embiid converged on James hoping to trap him. With Tristan Thompson wedged between these players in trying to set a screen, LeBron darted to the rim with a behind the back dribble that somehow slid between the narrow space between Thompson’s legs. The freight train comparison then took over as James proceeded to barrel his way to an easy and-1 layup.
The shoes that King James rocked for this game was the Nike LeBron 15. This shoe features a BattleKnit upper which provided a sock-like fit, but was also thick enough to provide durability needed for James’ playing style. The max Zoom Air units further provided a bounce needed to posterize defenders.
