Many would get nervous with a legend like Kobe Bryant was in the crowd. LeBron James thrived though, making history in front of his longtime rival and friend.
In this game, James put up just 13 points. This came alongside 13 assists though, one of which put the King in great company. James became the ninth player to notch 9000 career assists. This, on a full-court dish to Anthony Davis. LeBron was feeding his big men throughout the game, including lobs to Kobe’s former teammate Dwight Howard. Just before the start of the 4th, James made sure to dap up Bryant and greet his daughter Gianna in the front row. Of course, the Lakers got the W at Staples Center while topping the Dallas Mavericks.
The sneakers James wore for this moment were the Nike LeBron 17. This sneaker features a heel Air unit; the largest bag ever seen on a basketball shoe, providing maximum impact protection. The two large volume Zoom units in the forefoot for extra responsiveness. Knitposite graces the upper, with heat-molding creating the scaly look. As a result of the heat, the upper features more structure and durability.
LeBron rocked a white and orange player exclusive, which is currently available. The very similar “Future Air” colorway can be found HERE.
You can find other colors of the Nike LeBron 17 at StockX, GOAT, Stadium Goods, Flight Club, and DicksSportingGoods.com.
