The Gloves of the World Series

Kris Bryant Gloves

Here’s an in-depth look at the gloves of the World Series.  Let us know your favorite below…

Catcher

Cubs – Wilson Contreras and David Ross

51EutyUU5nL
David Ross may not only be a veteran in the clubhouse and off-and-on starter, but also an influence on understudy Contreras’ glove choice. Both wear Mizuno Pro Limited GMP200’s, but Ross has some custom red lace in his. Get this model here.

Indians – Roberto Perez

9109-2_large
Perez has been rock solid behind the dish with his All Star CM3000SBK. You can get the same exact model he wears here.

Advantage: Cubs. Mizuno Pro Limited line is almost unbeatable in quality and in looks.

First Base

Cubs – Anthony Rizzo

@rawlingsssg-Anthony-Rizzo-Glove
Rizzo has been raking and making every play at 1st for the Cubs. He uses a Rawlings Pro Preferred PROSCMHCBBR, which you can get here.

Indians – Carlos Santana and Mike Napoli

Both use Wilson’s. First, Santana:

Santana uses a custom navy and red Wilson A2000 1613, which you can get here.

Next, Napoli:
Mike Napoli Glove
Napoli uses a clean black and dark brown A2000. Get a replica here.

Advantage: Cubs, again. Rizzo’s glove can’t be beat.

Second Base

Cubs – Javy Baez

Javier Baez
Baez is one of the few players in the MLB to use SSK, but he makes their brand look really good with his lightning fast hands and great plays. Shop Baez’ gloves (4 options named for him) here.

Indians – Jason Kipnis

Jason Kipnis glove
Kipnis uses an 11.5″ Pro Preferred with a modified trapeze web that is super clean. Pick it up here.

Advantage: Indians. Kipnis’ glove is unique and it looks great.

Shortstop

Cubs – Addison Russell

Russell uses a fire 11.75″ Pro Preferred Wingtip, which Rawlings offers here.

Indians – Francisco Lindor

Lindor is a vacuum with the Rawlings Pro Preferred that measures at 11.75″. It’s a really nice glove, and you can get it here.

Advantage: Cubs. Two great Rawlings, Russell gets the advantage for individuality.

3rd Base

Kris Bryant

@geminikeez

Bryant uses a 12.25″ monster of a glove. The camel Pro Preferred leather with the dark tan laces and blue embroidery just looks fire though, and you can get this exact glove here.

Indians – Jose Ramirez

Jose Ramirez Glove
Ramirez has done everything he has needed to do and more. He gets it done with a custom Wilson A2000 DW5 that is just plain and simple. Get it here.

Advantage: Cubs. Bryant’s glove wins most beauty pageants.

Left Field

Cubs – Ben Zobrist

Zobrist uses a 303 in the same colorway as his infield glove:

The brucciato is studly.  And it just sounds expensive.  You can get the same exact model here.

Indians – Brandon Guyer

Brandon Guyer Glove
Guyer uses an all-navy PRO303, the MLB outfield standard. You can get it here.

Advantage: Cubs again. It’s hard to beat Zobrist’s brucciato beauty.

Center Field

Cubs – Dexter Fowler

Dexter Fowler Glove
Fowler uses a filthy custom Pro Preferred 303 with an H-Web. That red hand sewn welting is eye candy. You can get this glove without the hand sewn welting here.

Rajai Davis

Rajai Davis Glove
Davis got a custom job that I’ve never seen before. Yellow, white, and gray is certainly custom. Pick up the same model here.

Advantage: Cubs. I want Fowler’s glove so badly.

Right Field

Cubs: Chris Coghlan

Chris Coughlan
Coghlan is getting the start, and he uses a Rawlings 303—yep, same glove as Guyer, Zobrist, and Fowler—but with full mesh. You can’t get full mesh on the builder, unfortunately.

Indians – Lonnie Chisenhall

Lonnie Chisenhall
Chisenhall uses a Pro Limited with an H-Web. You can get the trap version of this glove here.

Advantage: We love mesh.  Another victory for the Cubs.

The Cubs win the glove contest but the bats seem to be swinging in Cleveland’s favor.  Should be a good finish to this series no matter what.
