Rawlings made Salvador Perez an offer he couldn’t refuse in the offseason, and have outfitted him with the XRD shin guards available at the link. Based on his past, I would expect Salvy to have a number of colorways, including the blue/grey and blue/white we’ve seen so far.
This is not his gamer as far as we know, but what an absolutely drop-dead gorgeous team-styled glove. Hard to fully express the love I have for this one. Photo: @GeminiKeez
Pedroia has been swinging a DP318 from Rawlings that is not made for retail. Pedroia has used the 318 cut from Louisville Slugger as well. Measurements: 33.5 inch, 30.5 oz
Joc Pederson’s glove is a Rawlings Pro Preferred PRO303 that we created at the link. Joc’s worked in some serious flare as you can see from the photo.
Buster Posey was awarded his own personal glove from Rawlings—a handsome Heart of the Hide with black outside and scarlet inside. He’s been using this model for several years and its a very sturdy glove. We noticed that Posey’s has an “S” (PROSCM43BP28), which is not present on the stock model, […]
Earlier in the season we saw Cespedes wearing Mizuno, but Cespedes has recently gone back to his old friend Rawlings. His Detroit-colored glove had a model number of PROJD-6KN. He has mixed in a really poppin’ royal/orange version seen in the feature photo by @GeminiKeez. That model number is PROJD-6KB. […]
Brandon Crawford’s glove is a classic, with a camel shell, black web and black laces. Crawford’s PRO200 glove is 11 1/2 inches in length, and the 200 pattern itself is one of the most popular and versatile patterns in MLB history. Vintage Baseball Glove Forum user hrking4675 describes the PRO200 […]
Adrian Gonzalez wears the same style first base mitt as Mark Teixeira, but Tex has a camel gamer and Gonzo wears black (though he was working in a camel version, too). Gonzalez’ model is available at the link.
We got our info from Rawlings on Prince Fielder’s first base mitt. He wears a PROFM20XLKB single post Heart of the Hide featherlite-black with camel laces. “Success” embroidered in scarlet script. Glove is stitched in copper. XRD finger-pad over the index finger. The custom glove available at the link is pretty much identical.
AJ Pollock wears the standard issue for MLB outfielders, the Rawlings H-Web. His looks similar to Hunter Pence‘s PRO301-6KB, including the Fastback finger slot, but Rawlings tells us that this is a Pro Preferred PROS27HFKB 12 3/4″. We built a version as similar as you can get to Pollock’s at the […]
