Saquon Barkley has been a part of the Nike Family for 3 years now. Nike and Saquon released an apparel collection back in 2019 and now they are bringing us even more heat. This time around, Saquon has helped design his very own Nike Air Trainer 3, a shoe popularized by his idol, Bo Jackson.
The Nike Air Trainer 3 has been reimagined by Saquon Barkley and is inspired by his love for 90s sneaker culture, his admiration for Bo Jackson and his NYC roots.
The shoe itself is mostly white, perforated leather with “sail” overlays throughout. Saquon’s lightning logo is featured on both the heel, insole and his number 26 is on the tongue. There’s also touches of orange and reflective material which is a nod to the construction that helped build NYC to what it is today. The crimson pink on the midsole pops and the big Nike logo on the side is New York Giants’ blue. We also have touches of “neptune green” on the velcro over the toe and the inside of the tongue. The outsole is black, pink and orange. Lastly we have two black strips over the Nike logo which represents the eye black Saquon intends to wear this season.
Saquon and the Nike design team knocked this out of the park. A masterfully designed, modern colorway to bring this classic shoe back to life.
The Nike Saquon Air Trainer III will be available October 8th on SNKRS and select retailers such as KITH and UP NYC for $140.
