Shohei Ohtani’s cleats were really interesting.  Asics like everything else.  They looked great, and they had this perforated material that seemed comfortable and breathable.  If you find these, let us know, but for now you can shop some (sick) Asics cleat options on Rakuten at the link.

Even the wood is Asics-branded, and “GOLDSTAGE” seems to be a premium label in Japan.  We found some wood bats by Asics on Rakuten.  You may even see “Ohtani” maple bat models.  Shop here.

Maybe its because we’re just a little bored of the other companies, but Ohtani’s batting gloves popped on the field. At home and on the road so far, Ohtani wears the whites during games.  Very sharp.  We actually found them on Rakuten for sale.

From what we know of Andrew Benintendi, he likes a long, medium thickness barrel and 1″ handle.  He likes a flare knob that does not have a ridge, which is the preference of players like Benny that drop the pinky.  With Chandler, Benny has his own model, the AB16, but it […]

According to Mookie Betts on Wilson Glove Day 2018, he’s been wearing a Wilson A2K glove since high school.  He added the mesh in 2016.  Here’s a link to a great YouTube video from last year where Mookie & Ryan Smith, Wilson Product Manager & Designer, describe the benefits of […]

Hanley’s 2018 New Balance cleats are a throwback to the third generation 4040v3s, a cleat that got universally great feedback from ballplayers at every level. You really can’t sleep on the fact that you can get this cleat brande new for as low as $20 on eBay and Hanley is […]

Josh Reddick has had a helluva career, but as the first MLB player to wear PF Flyers in a game, his legend will never die. The nostalgia factor for the PF Flyer is off the charts.  Of course, Benny the Jet “pickled the beast” in the Flyers in all-time great […]

He’s also got them in red.  The Powerstrap style, which first showed up at the 2015 All-Star Game, and has since become Franklin’s most popular Big League batting gloves, still hasn’t been made custom yet. Would you get some Powerstrap customs if Franklin offered them?

The loudest armor in the sport belongs to Yo.  Lately though, he’s been wearing a more “subtle” blazing orange guard that doesn’t include his logo.  It looks like a Belgard, too.  Safe to say that the one pictured is a custom order.  Belgard now has a retail website, and you […]

Cespedes’ new full color Franklins are just plain fresh.  The only way to get them similar to Yo’s is via the Franklin custom builder.  We built them for you just like Yo’s royal blues, but without his logo, and instead of white, we used chrome (which we like better), at […]
