It appears Saquon Barkley has made the switch from the Riddell Speedflex to the Schutt F7. In a recent Giants photo shoot, the superstar running back was wearing the Schutt F7 with his #26 on the front. Saquon had worn the Speedflex since his early days at Penn State so this came as a shocker to many.
The Schutt F7 has been my personal favorite helmet on the market for the last couple years. When it first came out, I was a little skeptical of it’s looks but they have grown on me since. The Schutt F7 features these “Tektonic Plates” on the top of the helmet that actually move independently to help disperse rotational force. Check out how they work below.
The Schutt F7 is also one of the safest helmets available, scoring a 5/5 on the Virginia Tech helmet rating scale. You can check out their entire list here and see how your favorite helmet stacks up.
The Schutt F7 is available from Schutt in different models ranging from $500-$1,000.
