If you look carefully, the bars on the facemask make the numbers “808”; that’s the area code of Hawaii, Tua’s homeland. It’s a really neat way he pays homage to where he’s originally from. The first player to use this custom facemask was Marcus Mariota, who’s also a Hawaii native.
