Kenley Jansen is an intimidating force on the mound. At 6’5″/275lbs, he looks the part of a pro athlete. While he was drafted as a catcher, it wasn’t until his time in the minors that he made the transition to relief pitcher. This was a good call as he is now one of only 30 guys to reach the 300 save mark. Jansen has led the NL in saves, has made multiple trips to the All Star game and has won multiple Reliever of the Year awards. A sub-2.50 ERA and nearly 1,000 K’s add to the list of accomplishments for one of the greatest closers of his time.
Jansen has a somewhat quiet-swag about him. Kenley Jansen’s cleats are some of the cleanest in the game. His partnership with Jumpman has brought with it some unique spikes. He has been seen in Air Jordan 12 and 9 cleats. Jansen’s glove is simple, but beautiful. He uses a Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRO1000-4 with a mod trap web and Horween leather.
