From 2015 until now, Buster Posey has been splitting baseballs with a Marucci BP28 with a natural barrel and unfinished handle. This cut is based on his Louisville Slugger D200, which had been his signature model for several seasons before signing with Marucci. For a time in 2017, Posey swung the McCutchen AM22, but he’s mostly stayed true to the BP28, which has sprung a line of bats for sale throughout the country.
Will Smith, who still swings Posey’s original Slugger model, the D200, did a great job explaining the cut to me, and you can assume that the Marucci BP28 is more or less in line with Will’s description:
You can get Posey bats in several ways from Marucci:
Baseball Express / Dick’s / Eastbay / Marucci all have options. Some metal, some wood. Check them all out to find what you need.
