Jazz Chisholm Jr. has been rocking some uber-rare heat for his cleats in 2021: Player-exclusive Jordan 12 Retro “Flu Games” that most likely belonged to Jordan Brand athlete and two-time All-Star starting pitcher, Gio González.
Before González announced his retirement from baseball this past March, he found himself competing for a spot on the Miami Marlins. Being from Hialeah, FL (just like Manny Machado), it had been a dream of González’s to pitch in front of his hometown crowd. As Chisholm Jr.’s cleats are identical to González’s, and the two were in Spring Training camp together, it is highly probable that Chisholm Jr.’s pair was a gift from González.
