Giancarlo Stanton may have left Miami at just the right time (for the sake of style), because even though he left the more vibrantly colored team, it looks like the Yankees are taking a more relaxed approach to their uniform restrictions this year. In years past, the only colors permitted on cleats were black with white trim. Not the other way around either (ask Brett Gardner).
It looks like the Yankees have finally turned the page, because Stanton is wearing the Nike Alpha Huarache Low in a player exclusive colorway that subtly celebrates the NYC skyline in the upper of the cleat. He’s also got a version with a “G” pattern, presumably for his first name. All Giancarlo options are player exclusive.
