Olson has been a fan of Old Hickory for several years now. In the past, he used the GB2 model but is now using his very own MO28 model that he helped create. Although he changed models, he is sticking with a 34″ maple stick. Old Hickory describes both the MO28 and GB2 as having “a medium barrel with a very thin handle that runs to a flared knob.” This design is meant to create extra whip, allowing hitters to have faster bat speeds.
Old Hickory doesn’t have an option to customize the MO28 bat, but you can get Olson’s exact colorway by checking out the stock version at OldHickory.com for $175. They also have a steel-pressed option available for $195.
