Dick’s Sporting Goods Drops Nike Vapor Ultrafly 3 Cleat

Nike social unveils three player exclusive versions of the new Ultrafly Elite 3, and Dick’s Sporting Goods is offering them for $100 at this link.

The Vapor Ultrafly Elite 3 is the newest in Nike’s line of hybrid cleats, meaning they use both metal and molded spikes.

George Springer was the first to ever wear the Vapor Ultrafly back in 2016, and Nolan Arenado made them famous. Springer stuck with the Vapor Ultrafly 2s in Game 1 (and now game 2) of the Wildcard. Players are likely hesitant to change cleats in such an important moment in the season, so the third installment in this line of “speed cleats” may have to wait for next year.

Bo Bichette had been mixing in a baby blue PE of the Ultrafly 2s lately, and stuck with them in game 1 of the Wildcard. After a loss, maybe he pulls these out of the box for some fresh Mojo. Bojo?

Tim Anderson also kept his new 3s in the box for game 1. He raked and the Sox won, so you probably won’t see these yet either. Still, a very clean look and a similarly available colorway can be bought at Dick’s for $99.
