In the first edition of eBay Snipes, we wanted to feature items at different price points to show buying player exclusive items can still be affordable. This time around were not pulling any punches. These PE snags are heavy hitters, just like the players who used them.
Mizuno Pro Fernando Tatis Jr. Game Used Glove
Fernando Tatis Jr., who just signed a $340 million dollar contract, is baseball’s new hope. Last year, he gamed this Mizuno Pro Infield Glove. An all black Mizuno GMP2BK-600R with golden yellow stitching and welting, featuring Mizuno’s unique interwoven single post web. Fernando’s locker has a new one, too, if you’d prefer it fresh made.
Nike Alpha Huarache Elite 2 Gleyber Torres Cleats (No longer available on eBay)
These Mamba inspired Nike Alpha Huarache 2 spikes are the brainchild of Yankees Shortstop Gleyber Torres. The upper is made of the same material the late great Kobe Bryant used on his signature shoe the Kobe IX. Mike got to talk with Gleyber about his experience designing this cleat when he became a Nike SMU player—here it is below:
Unfortunately these sold for $2,499 last week.
Marucci David Ortiz Game Used Final Season Batting Gloves
Big Papi’s Final Season BGs are nothing short of a showstopper. His Marucci batting gloves feature his final season “LEG3ND4RY” logo, a tribute to his curse-crushing career. Printed in the fabric of the glove is a pattern of symbols including David’s number 34, his logo, Boston Strong, and a silhouette of the Dominican Republic, from which Big Papi hails. You can grab these eye-catching batting gloves here for a “G,” or make an offer.
Wilson A2000 EL3 Evan Longoria Used Pro Issue Glove
Longo‘s signature game model, the A2000 Wilson EL3 has been a staple for shortstops and third basemen (made our top 5 3B gloves list) for the past few years now. His color choices were simple for this one: a classic tan, with the black and yellow Wilson branding, and blue stitching for the Rays. It features a single post web and Wilson’s DriLex wrist lining for the cooling air flow. You can grab this glove here for $1,499 or make an offer, or customize your own at Wilson.com.
Nike Ken Griffey Jr. Cleats
Lastly, we are highlighting “The Kid” Ken Griffey Jr’s Cleats. These spikes are a legit retro piece, reminiscent of the Reebok OG Shaqnosis, or the Reebok Kamikazes with the pronounced black and white patterns. Affixed on the collar of the shoe is Junior’s Number 24, and on the tongue is a large “JR” with a teal swoosh. My favorite part of the cleat is the Nike Air on the back… so classic. You can snag Griffey’s cleats here for about $2300 or make an offer.
