I’m finally cracking open WPW’s seventh Spring Training and nothing really makes it official like seeing Manny Machado‘s new Jordan cleats.
Sadly Tatis was out (again), but we’ll focus on Manny, who knows you can’t beat the original so he’s still rolling with the Jordan 1. Instant classic.
There’s levels to Manny PEs—texture is one of them. The grey components have an intricate, scaled snake-like pattern and the brown and yellow components have a crocodilian plate-like look.
The Machado/Jumpman logos on the tongues put the cherry on top. Shop Jordan 1s on eBay but don’t expect them like this.
And we know its never just the shoes with Manny. The player exclusive Jordan batting gloves are always among the most asked about items on WPW—especially Machado PEs.
Here’s a decent look—you can see the interwoven Machado logos that make a thick striped look. No, these won’t be available.
Manny, seen here in Oakley Sutro Prizm shades ($166, Amazon), dug deep into the ball bag for about a dozen pearls for the kids.

Last but not least, the new leather. Manny Machado’s choice today, and subject to change, was a Rawlings PROMM13 12″ in a color that reminded me of Evan Longoria’s orange tan Wilson EL3.
Glove fiends were quick to correct me on IG that this is not “orange tan,” but it sure looked just like it.
Some suggested “rich tan” or “Horween“—will confirm with Rawlings.
What do you think about Machado’s new heat? Who else do you want to see from the Padres? Hit us up in the comments below.
