Mother’s Day Swag Rundown: Lindor, Yadi, Betts

Its that time of year when the whole league goes pink.  Here’s what it looked like from WPW’s perspective, with a focus on the Indians @ A’s matchup.

Francisco Lindor wore his New Balance Cypher 12 cleats ($130 on Baseball Express) in a player exclusive look that included a Lindor family photo!  Mother’s Day gear in the MLB has always shown symbols of appreciation for mom, but Lindor cuts through the symbolism and just gets right to the heart of the matter with these cleats.

The shades don’t have much to do with mom, but Francisco Lindor’s Tiger Eyes flip-ups circa 1993 were the highlight of the series for me.

Can’t really say for sure the last time Tiger Eyes were worn in an MLB game, but this Barry Bonds 1994 Pinnacle baseball card will give you an idea.  We don’t expect to see these available.  If you know of any for sale, please comment.

Stance’s Mother’s Day socks, worn here by Francisco Lindor and Mike Freeman, are available as a crew (shorter) for $24.

Lindor rounded out Mother’s Day with the pink Franklin Pro Classic batting gloves and a pink Marucci Lindy12-1 Maple bat.  The pink Pro Classic batting gloves are only for Lindor (you can customize here), and you can shop the Marucci Lindy12 at Baseball Express for $150.  Varo even got pinked out with the bat weight.

Whereas Lindor’s were exclusive to the player, Jose Ramirez’ Franklin CFX Pros are indeed available at FranklinSports.com for $40.

Ramon “Laser” Laureano has become a WPW favorite, swinging a Victus Axe in pink with pink Easton Walk-Off batting gloves, too.  Baseball Express sells a Victus Axe X50 bat in grey for $200.

Pink isn’t available, but there are a lot of colorways available of this batting glove for $25 at Baseball Express.  Also notable is the “HI MOM” belt.  Saw these on a bunch of guys.  Custom belts are available (probably the same kind as Laureano’s) at ShowBelts.com.

Even the eye-black was for mom on Sunday.  We didn’t find these on the web, but EyeBlack.com offers pink MLB versions for $0.99 cents per pair.

Matt Olson hit a no-doubter with a “Thanks Mom” sleeve from Under Armour.

Olson, along with Cleveland’s Jake Bauers, wore these UA Yard cleats for mom plus the matching batting gloves.

Bryce Harper had his own UA swag going (above).

Trevor Bauer got the start on Saturday, so he wore his pink Nike Alpha Huarache Elite 2 Low cleats one day early.

You can see “Kathy” written with a pen on a tab that Nike added this year for personalization.  These cleats are not available, but you can customize this model at Nike.com for $120.

Here’s a good look at the blindingly pink plates, too.

The Trout 5s also got the Mother’s Day treatment.  The Trout 5 cleat is currently down to $100 or less on Eastbay.

Roberto Perez hit a game-changing 3-run blast and wore Nike “M?M” gear.

They even embroidered a cherry blossom on the shinnies (plus-plus attention to detail).  If they don’t even sell the regular Nike gear, you can bet that they’re not putting this set out anytime soon.

Mizuno refused to be out-pinked, outfitting Josh Phegley in his own set as he gunned down two attempted base stealers.

Here is the Mizuno Dominant IC Mid worn by Chris Bassitt of the A’s.  There was no way he was going to get in the game, but when you get to wear pink once a year, you gotta rock ’em.  This cleat is only available in black and white at Baseball Express for $105.

MLB.com is offering the pink-billed hats worn by the entire league at this link for $38.

The Seattle Mariners threw WPW a tag on Marco Gonzales’ Nike cleats.

Robinson Cano’s KD Customs might have been our favorites of the day. The purple to pink fade is fire.
