New Balance 4040v5 Cleats Debuts with Ronald Acuña at 2019 HR Derby

New Balance’s 4040v5 cleats made their debut on the feet of Ronald Acuña at the HR Derby in Cleveland tonight, available at Baseball Express.

You may see these new cleats from New Balance during the HR Derby and All-Star Game, though you never know what guys are gonna roll with.  They are available in a “Hero” white/red/navy colorway for $130 that is pictured below.  In the product photo below, to my eye, the cleat looks a lot more red than the photos that NB provided, and in my opinion, they look better that way.

Some specs from New Balance:

This special-edition 4040v5 Hero metal cleat is built with amazing mid-foot support, low profile cleats for superior grip and strategically-placed cushioning to make your game almost effortless.
  • Innovative REVlite midsole provides premium responsiveness and durability at a 30% lighter weight than other foams with comparable performance

  • Metal cleats

  • Synthetic upper

  • Kinetic stitch

Here’s some more angles of the cleat, but for another look, try BaseballExpress.com:

While this colorway is available, we don’t have details on the availability of other colorways right now.
