Origins: How a Baseball Glove is Made at the Mizuno Pro Glove Factory

This offseason, Mizuno invited me to Haga, Japan to document how a pro glove is made. Haga is a beautiful small town up in the mountains of central Honshu, Japan’s main island. Its where the Glovemeister’s team of technicians supplies ballgloves for about 40% of the Nippon Professional Baseball League, and some of our favorite defenders in the game.

Andrelton Simmons, Didi Gregorius, and now Fernando Tatis, Jr. wear Mizuno gloves, making them some of the best ballgloves in the world. It was really truly an honor to be in that factory and to bring these images to you all.

Shoutout to Mizuno Sports for making this possible. Follow them at @mizunobaseballnorthamerica.
