MLB has released images that show the 3rd annual Players Weekend uniforms that will be worn from August 23-25, 2019 in ballparks throughout the country. All of these items are available for purchase on MLB.com.
As shown in these images prepared by SportsLogos.net, the uniforms are either all black…
Or all white. And according to MLB, the home team will decide which uniform to wear, black or white.
I don’t know what to make of the jerseys. I saw somewhere that the jerseys are supposed to reflect the players’ off-field style. Not too sure about that—don’t see many tuxedos getting off the bus. Maybe its so players can wear whatever color cleats they want and it won’t look bad? Maybe they didn’t feel like designing all 30 jerseys? Maybe they needed to sell more hats?
The hats seem to have been designed to mute the team logos entirely.
Again, I don’t get it. They’re available at MLB.com for $38.
What do you think about the jerseys? Good comments will get a reply!
