All I can say is wow! These cleats have married style and technology to produce a cleat that is superior to all other cleats on the market. I wish everyone could slip these on to know I am not exaggerating, but since that probably isn’t going to happen, I’ll tell you what I mean.
The Hyperfuse shell gives it a seamless upper which reduces the weight of the cleat. Dynamic Fit technology is integrated under the Hyperfuse upper supporting the foot like a second skin. The ankle strap is not your standard slap it over your shin strap. It starts from the base of your heel on the medial side(inside) and wraps to the lateral side (outside) of your ankle. The strap is stretchy which locks down your foot with more of a suction feel. The inner booty is breathable mesh which again stretches with every movement allowing for support and flexibility. I have never seen this much ventilation on a baseball cleat. The Hyperfuse material is very porous allowing for an air conditioning-like feel on those hot summer days. There are triangular cut-outs all over the upper to provide air flow and reduce the weight.
I was most impressed with the cushioning. With a Lunarlon heel, carbon fiber shank plate for midfoot support, and forefoot zoom air, this cleat feels like I was walking on a very springy sponge. Have you ever put on a shoe and immediately felt the cushioning? This cleat’s cushioning is super responsive. I put these cleats on and debated wearing them home. In all of my 24 years of wearing cleats, the Trunner Dominate Pro Metal is my favorite.
I hope this cleat is in Jordan Brand’s future plans for a public release. This is the pinnacle of performance spikes. So can Jordan Brand please bless the public with a general release of the Jordan Trunner Dominate Pro Metal? Even if it carried a $130 price tag I wouldn’t give it a second thought. These spikes are worth it.
