Lots of custom artists out there nowadays. In 2012 when WPW started, the landscape consisted of a very small group of extremely successful artists. Now, thanks to Instagram, its opened the door for a lot more competition. While there’s a lot of quality out there, its the creativity that I am drawn to. Not the 3,000th “Supreme” logo or the Off-White “Cleats” garbage or the Yeezy’s for the 10,000th time, but actual creativity. Tyson Ross found that in @ikb20_customs.
Ross connected with IKB on a Nike SHA DO Elite J two-piece glove that they turned into a one-of-a-kind stunner. SHA DO Elite J’s can be found on eBay, but not like this.
One of my favorite looks of all time, elephant print, magnified and given a gradient fade in Tigers colors for Ross’s new squad.
Tyson Ross followed WPW back when we only had a Twitter, so you could say he’s got a good sense of quality. @ikb20_customs killed this.
