Starling Marte has been swinging a Tater bat in recent seasons, a young baseball company out of Connecticut that’s picked up some good hitters early. Marte’s Birch SM6 has a medium flared knob and a thick handle that tapers into a large endloaded barrel. The thick handle gives it better balance. Its a 33.5″ inch 30.5 ounce, and Freddie Vargas, Tater CEO compares the bat to an i13. Tater offers the X7, the Starling model with a modified, more balanced barrel for $170.
