Trea Turner is a guy who can swipe a bag in the blink of an eye. To protect his fingers while sliding into bases, he wears a Benik W-137B Short sliding mitt with his number on the velcro strap. The short version of this mitt focuses mainly on protecting the fingers and thumb, whereas the regular mitt extends further up the wrist, providing more support for that area.

You won’t be able to order it directly from Benik.com, but you can call 1-800-442-8910 to get your own. Take a look at this webpage for more information. You can also check out the very similar EvoShield and Nike sliding mitts available at DicksSportingGoods.com for $50.
