Joey Bosa is one of the first NFL players to wear the Vicis 02 helmet. It’s definitely a strange looking helmet and it must’ve been a challenge for the Chargers equipment staff to get the decals on.
The Vicis 02 came out earlier this year (2021) and slowly more and more players have been making the switch. The Vicis Zero2, is now the highest graded helmet of all time on the Virginia Tech Helmet safety rating scale. Not only is it safer, it’s lighter than the Zero1, weighing in at 4.3 pounds. This helmet is the absolute latest innovation in the helmet world and I think we’re going to see a lot more players wear it in the future.
