Dustin Pedroia
Dustin Pedroia was drafted by the Red Sox in 2004 and has been the team’s heart and soul since the moment he arrived in 2007. From AL Rookie of the Year in 2007, four Gold Gloves, and a 2008 AL MVP, the undersized Pedroia has proven to be a monster on the diamond. Listed at 5’9″ by the MLB, Pedroia has always played with a chip on his shoulder to prove his small stature will never hold him back.
Pedroia might be credited with the rise of New Balance baseball. He was the first to wear New Balance cleats starting in 2010 when the Brighton, Mass. brand began to build its reputation as baseball’s most comfortable cleat. Dustin Pedroia’s glove is well known, too. He has earned his own Wilson glove model–the DP15. It has changed slightly over the years but remains a Wilson fave. At the dish, Pedroia has had more variation. He has swung Louisville Slugger, Rawlings, Marucci, and an Axe-handled Victus. Evoshield elbow and shin guards as well as Frankin batting gloves have been some constants.
