Joe Panik
Joe Panik is a smooth fielding second baseman out of Hopewell Junction, New York (same place as WPW founder Mike). The St. John’s University product has made a name for himself at second base. He traded the snow of New York for the City by the Bay when he was drafted by the Giants in the first round in 2011. Panik added an All Star appearance to his resume in 2015 and a Gold Glove in 2016, but Panik will be remembered for his all-time great dive and flip for a game changing double play in Game 7 of the 2014 World Series, a game that his Giants would win.
Panik began his career with Under Armour but has since transitioned to Mizuno. He wears their 9-spike Dominant IC low cleats to go with Mizuno B-303 batting gloves. He swings a Marucci CS5 maple bat. Joe Panik’s glove is truly beautiful. While it’s simple, his Rawlings Pro Preferred PROS1150KB in all black with the Gold Labels is a timeless look.
