Thanks to @unheardofbrand (on Instagram), a Cincinnati clothing/shoe retailer with a web store, we got some exclusive looks at Jay Bruce’s new Swingman MVP 2 cleats straight from the clubhouse.

Bruce was the beneficiary of Ryan Braun’s removal from the Swingman roster, and I’d say it was a nice deal for Jay.  Ya know, getting paid to wear these.

The ones that are glowing were given to Bruce for Jackie Robinson Day (see the number 42).  They are 3M reflective, meaning that light, like the flash of a camera, flashes back.  Bruce ended up not wearing them that day, but has ever since.  As I look more at the pictures I realize he did in fact wear them but they just look like two different shoes!

Above are his away greys.  The reflective aspect doesn’t seem to show up in these game photographs though.

Get your own pair of Swingman MVP 2 Cleats here.

Also worth mentioning, the Phiten sock with Bruce’s number 32 on it, which is MLB official believe it or not.  All team issued socks in the Major Leagues are Phiten.  You can get Bruce and most MLB players exact game socks at this link.

I’m pretty sure this is a foregone conclusion, but I’ll ask anyways: which ones would you prefer to wear?

Thanks again to @unheardofbrand for the connect.
