We picked up on some unknown cleats from New Balance recently being worn by the guy who put them on the map, Dustin Pedroia. We are speculating, but our guess is that this is the new 4040v4, which was hinted at by New Balance in our most recent podcast.
If it plays out like it has in the past, expect to start seeing New Balance hype for the 4040v4 around the All-Star Game. Pedey’s usage, considering he could wear WHATEVER HE WANTS, gives me the impression that these are New Balance’s best ever performance cleat.
