It’s hard taking over at shortstop for a defensive master like Carlos Correa, but Jeremy Peña has taken the challenge head on. Peña has made a splash in his first season with the Houston Astros and is even in the running for AL Rookie Of The Year. He currently ranks in the top-20 for highest fielding percentage in the MLB at (.959). It’s safe to say that the Astros found themselves a future star in Jeremy Peña. With the help of his Rawlings PROS204-2RTB glove, he continues to put up superb defensive numbers.

His 11.5″ PROS204-2RTB model has a rich tan colored back and palm with a black Pro-I web. It looks like Peña has been using this glove for a while now because its well-worn. We wouldn’t be surprised to see him swap this glove out for something new in the near future.  In fact, Jeremy told us that he’s playing this one just until he gets his actual glove, a PRO2174-8HC 11.5″, broken in.

You can get Peña’s rich tan and black PRO2174 glove (his current gamer) using Rawling’s glove customizer for $500 at Rawlings.com. You can also design your own version of the PRO204 with either Pro Preferred or Heart Of The Hide leather. HOH leather runs about $100 cheaper than Pro Preferred.

Editor’s Note: We mistakenly had this as a PRO217 when first published.
