Manny Machado’s current game glove with the Padres is a Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRONP5-7WB 12″ inch pattern with platinum labels. The PRONP5 is usually an 11.75″ glove, but Machado’s is not. Maybe because he used to wear the NP5, he’s a little superstitious about it, but this is really a PRONP6 (12 inch), and Rawlings calls it their flattest pattern. Those platinum labels are only given to Platinum Glove winners, so this exact glove is impossible to own unless you get one from Manny. However, the glove pattern, in the exact same colorway, is available at the link.
Machado flip-flops between Pro Preferred (kip leather) and Heart of the Hide (Japanese steerhide), and you could imagine, he probably gets enough gloves that, the leather type doesn’t much matter—its about feel for Manny, like so many other players.
