We see Nike Alpha Huarache cleats all the time, but not like this. This season, Alonso has been rocking a unique pair of Huaraches with a sick custom design. These kicks also have a fantastic story behind them.
Custom Stadium Kicks, a popular custom footwear company among pro athletes, went to Citi Field and had Alonso randomly select different features to include on a one-of-a-kind pair of cleats. Alonso ended up picking a mint colorway, a Statue of Liberty graphic, a fishing graphic, and an off-the-wall number from the top of his head. This is where it got interesting.
They then opened up a Nike shoebox that had the exact custom cleats that Alonso randomly chose, leaving him and everyone else completely shocked. Even better, when they turned the random number upside down, it spelled “Pete Alonso.” You can check out the video below on Instagram (via @stadiumcustomkicks).
These magic cleats are obviously unavailable unless you know a magician who can make them for you. However, you can get stock Alpha Huarache Elite 4 mid cleats at DicksSportingGoods.com for $53-$100.
