Shohei Ohtani’s 2022 pitching glove looks like Asics put a basketball in a blender and put it together with whatever came out.  The web has no equivalent; it looks like a double H-Web, and overall the glove’s shape looks more like an outfielder’s glove.  The basketball-like material resembles Wilson Superskin and likely offers a weight-saving benefit for Shohei in case of a comebacker.  While Ohtani remains the most uniquely swagged out player in baseball thanks to his Asics repertoire, this is his worst-looking piece.  Sorry.  Here are his previous gloves for comparison 2018, 2021.

Shop Asics gloves and potentially hunt down an Ohtani on eBay, but the basketball glove is currently a one-of-one.
