Shohei Ohtani continues to protect his million dollar assets with a myriad of protective guards at the plate, some showing, some under layers.
All the guards have Asics logos on them. The most unique one was the one that protected his throwing hand at the plate.
Almost his entire arm was covered by guards, and I don’t blame the guy. Long-term injuries caused by hit-by-pitches aren’t just a threat, they’re a certainty in the MLB. Countless Big Leaguers have lost serious time to an errant two-seamer, and some never recover. To go up there with an unprotected throwing hand is basically asking for the opposing pitcher to end your season, not something Ohtani will allow.
We found some plain versions that resemble his elbow guard without Asics logos (which is kinda the fun of it, right?) on eBay. A similar hand guard is also available on eBay with some more swag baked in. The leg guards are nowhere to be found.

I’d like to find that hand guard…. wonder why they are so hard to find… should be on every players must have list.
The leg guard he sometimes uses can be found on amazon japan, https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/Asics-Baseball-battexingurega-Separately-bpf280/dp/B079RM14W1/ref=pd_bxgy_img_sccl_1/357-2923436-5297547?pd_rd_w=pNvwU&content-id=amzn1.sym.918446e7-72f4-48c7-a672-af3b6ace2b19&pf_rd_p=918446e7-72f4-48c7-a672-af3b6ace2b19&pf_rd_r=ND9HKV7SRCQ0M8570R1F&pd_rd_wg=AgN1G&pd_rd_r=8df97d59-31af-4ce0-a429-f45d0d8d9d89&pd_rd_i=B079RM14W1&th=1&psc=1 it is also void of any asics logos
