Wander Franco is wearing a saucy SSK ZPro 11.75″ I-Web glove that, according to SSK, will be available to the public this summer. Only 30 gloves will be available. While we featured a bunch of Wander gloves before the season, Franco chose none of them, and instead opted for this yellow/tropical blue style. I dropped into the Rays dugout to get a closeup:

Wander switched from an 11.5” glove in the minors to 11.75” once he started playing shortstop full time in the pros. This model is “long” but is also deep. It has a narrow U or C shape depending on how you look at it. He’s the only player that we have that uses this model. It’s similar to what he used in 11.5” and what Luis Urias uses.

We will have 6-8 new wander models this summer. All Limited edition with 30 made of each. Almost all he designed and he has all of them, but from what he told us this spring, he is very picky with his gloves.
