Dellin Betances
Dellin Betances looks like he belongs at power forward instead of on the mound. At 6’8″/260, Betances is an intimidating force on the hill. His triple-digit fastball and wipeout curve increase the intimidation factor. He was projected to be a first rounder out of high school but the Vanderbilt commit fell to the eighth round due to a high signing bonus demand. He turned out to be well worth it. The right-hander broke the Goat Mariano Rivera’s reliever strikeout record, and has even thrown an immaculate inning (3 K’s on 9 pitches).
Betances is one of few ball players to wear the Jumpman logo. While he started his career wearing Adidas spikes, he has since transitioned to Jordan. Dellin Betances’ cleats have most commonly been the Jordan 12 in a variety of color combinations. Betances takes a more classic approach with his glove. He uses a Wilson A2000 XLC in all black.
