Gleyber Torres

Gleyber Torres is an electrifying infielder out of Venezuela. He signed as an international free agent in 2013 and as a result, pulled in a $1.7 million signing bonus. Torres is already a regular at the mid-summer classic. With his big bat, cannon arm, and slick fielding, it is safe to say he will be a staple in the MLB for years to come.

Torres is part of a new wave of swagged-out ballplayers and has some of the best gear in the Bigs. Torres opted for Nike and they are rewarding him for it. He is one of a very select number of players to get the player exclusive treatment from Nike. Gleyber Torres’ cleats are some of the most eye catching in the MLB. He often utilizes a reptile skin-like design on either the Nike Alpha Huarache Elite 2 or Nike Alpha Air Clipper ’17 spikes. His batting gloves are as clean as the cleats. Torres wears Nike Huarache batting gloves with the same reptile design on the back. The cleat and batting glove combo is a match made in heaven. A Nike Hyperwarm arm sleeve completes the look. Torres also brings a Marucci JS68 maple bat to the plate. In the field, Torres carries on the clean look. He opts for a Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRONP2-2DSGN which is an 11.25″ I-web pattern.

Some of Torres’ gear (while not the PE stuff) can be found below.
