Gary Sanchez
Gary Sanchez is a power hitting catcher with a cannon for an arm. Dubbed The Kraken, Sanchez has wowed with his power since his debut. Despite playing in only 53 games in 2016, he finished second in the AL Rookie of the Year voting. While he has had issues with passed balls, Sanchez has posted a consistent sub-2 second pop time. His tape measure shots are what people notice and have graced him with a Silver Slugger and multiple All Star games.
Sanchez has some clean gear to pair with the New York pinstripes. He began his career with All Star gear and an All Star mitt behind the plate. Sanchez has since transitioned to navy blue Nike gear to pair with his Nike cleats. He did keep his All Star mask despite the change in chest and leg guards. Sanchez has worn multiple different Nike cleats during his time in the Bronx. The switch to Nike gear also prompted a change to Gary Sanchez’s glove. He transitioned to a Rawlings Heart of the Hide PROSCM41JBM. Sanchez also trusts Evoshield’s wrist and leg guard to protect him. At the dish, Sanchez uses Franklin CFX Pro batting gloves and a Victus GS24 maple bat.
