We had a chance to talk with Kolten Wong about his new glove for the year, which he told us will be his gamer. Its a Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRONP2JR, 11 1/2 inch glove with a cool new “V-Web” we’ve seen on Manny Machado this Spring, too:
Some more looks at Wong’s beaut:
Victus Sticks (@victussticks) showed off some matte black axe bats that are heading to the Miami Marlin’s Giancarlo Stanton. Stanton may be going with the axe handle after a broken hamate bone ended his 2015 season. The axe has been shown to reduce that specific injury.
Texas A+M (@txagbsbmagic) recently celebrated our 41st President, George H. Bush with a POTUS Easton.
Oregon Ducks SS, Mark Karaviotis (@shark_karaviotis24) flashed his new Rawlings TT2. #DuckSwag.
Quinnipiac Baseball (@bobcatsbsb) sent over a shot of some custom EvoShield Speed Stripe protective gear.
@Mache275 customized some New Balance 4040v3 cleats for Nick Swisher.
And here’s a few from Rawlings glove day at the Blue Jays complex in Dunedin, FL:
AAA pitcher Taylor Cole’s Pro Preferred PRO1000 stuck out as one of the prettiest gloves at camp. The contrasting brown is a dangerous game but it turned out GORGEOUS.
Taylor made it a point to show us the “I.D. NO. 01” which might mean its the first of its kind. Don’t quote us on it, but we believe it.
As a Gold Glover and long-time Rawlings guy, R.A. Dickey gets some special treatment. Here’s a shot of his PRO504-12JB with a very rare touch: a blacked-out Rawlings oval patch, which Rawlings does not offer anywhere. We likey.
Kevin Pillar has one of our favorite cleats in the game, the adidas AdiZero Afterburner 2.0.
