Rawlings sent through this video that they did back in 2007 to tell the stories of Major League hopefuls at the nationally-acclaimed Perfect Game WWBA World Championship showcase in Jupiter, FL.
Eric Hosmer was the top hitting prospect at this showcase and features prominently in the video. Ned Yost, Milwaukee Brewers Manager at the time, even shows up to explain the challenge that scouts face when trying to found out “what kind of fire does (a player) have to be a champion.” I don’t think either of them could have imagined that they’d be where they are, together, today.
All of the guys featured in this video, including Aaron Hicks, Adrian Nieto, and Daniel Webb have since made it to the Show.
