WPW was on-field for Mother’s Day at Angels Stadium, and as you could imagine, the pink was on full blast. A lot of game-used Mother’s Day stuff is up for auction via MLB to benefit various charities. As for our run-down, you might want to throw on some sunglasses for this.
Instagram loved Mike Trout’s Trout 3s.
Trout went deep for the third consecutive day for moms. Guy is from another planet.
Trout even got a special pair of Nike Show x1 sunglasses for the occasion.
Can this kid at least pretend to be pumped about getting a sig. from a Gold Glover? Good grief. Kole Calhoun is so sneaky underrated, too.
Ian Kinsler and the Tigers hit back with their own pink barrage. The Nike MVP batting gloves may have taken the cake as the pinkest pink thing out there.
Miggy had his Franklin CFX Pros (available in pink) and Sam Bat MC1, which he swung in his first AB.
Later in the game, though, Miggy went back to his standard Sam Bat.
Justin Upton’s adidas Afterburner 4 (Mother’s Day edition is AVAILABLE) went the extra mile with polka dots. Yep, polka dots made it in an MLB game against all odds. We liked the personal touch with the arm sleeve, which actually had the names of the mother’s of MLB’s adidas roster.
Stance socks added a great element to everybody’s uni’s. The transition from grey to pink there is fire, plain and simple.
Verlander was rocking them too. You can get those at this link.
Watching Verlander just made me feel like he was from another time. Just had a certain old school swag to him, though the Under Armour Heater cleats wrapped in pink paisley directly contradicted that entire feel.
Ben Revere opted to just wear his regular super fresh custom adidas Afterburner 3 cleats. Absolutely filth. I’d wear ’em to church.
It used to be that only Louisville Slugger could make the pink bats for game use, but we saw all companies, including Luis Valbuena’s Tucci MG9 (Marwin Gonzalez), being swung that day.
Ian Kinsler swings a Warstic IK58 Maple Pro Signature bat. According to Warstic, this is a 243 model with a modified handle and more balanced feel.
Alex Meyer of the Angels was one of many to be rocking the Nike Air Clippers.
Miggy’s Jordan 12s by Soto Customs.
Victor Martinez had his own Mizuno Swagger 2s made up by Soto, too.
Miggy’s Wilson A2000 MC24 custom was quite nice. We’re working on details but you can get an MC24 in a Tigers colorway here. Pop the chain, Miggy.
JD Martinez’ 1799 was nice, too. The 1799 made it onto our buyer’s guide to Wilson’s 2017 line. Check that out here.
Angels back-up catcher Juan Graterol took full advantage of the Mother’s Day start with a pinked out All-Star System 7 set.
And last but not least, the great Omar Vizquel, suavecito at first base coach. The Costa Motu sunglasses were only part of the story.
Vizquel probably had the sickest shoes on the field with the Trout 3 turfs, which as we noted earlier, you can buy.
