Carlos Correa is officially an adidas athlete. According to Darren Rovell, Correa got a “huge, record-setting deal,” which is no surprise considering how good this kid is. Adidas is already treating Correa to his first ever customs, which are hand-painted to honor Carlos’ family, AKA @teamcjcorrea. “Cleathead” is adidas’ marketing buzzword.
The cleats pictured are the adidas Energy Boost Icon, which are available in many colorways at Baseball Express and Eastbay. Correa is wearing these today vs the Yankees.
These are pretty, but judging by the money behind it, adidas is only scratching the surface with Correa. As we’ve seen with Nike/Trout and now Under Armour/Bryce Harper, we can probably look forward to a signature cleat for Correa some day soon.
