We first saw Matt Kemp using a Nike MVP Select last year, and Nike promptly started selling the MVP Select line of gloves. If you were a fan of those gloves but maybe the price was a little steep, you might be in luck as Nike has discounted some of the MVP select models to clear out some stock.
A little more before jumping into the models. The MVP select line is made out of extremely stiff Steerhide leather. That leather covers only about 65% of the glove, and is perforated on the back of the glove. The glove also has a Hyperfuse material, which is lighter than leather. That’s some high tech stuff that makes these gloves extremely light. You’ll be able to get these MVP’s for $140, a $90 discount.
The 11.5″ comes in this red, silver, and a blue color we saw Duke have last year:
This is the middle infielder’s model. You can get it here.
The modified trapeze web model is also available. It is 11.75″ and built for a pitcher. It comes in red, blue, and silver. You can scoop it up here.
The 12″ basket web version comes in red and silver. You can get it here.
The 12.5″ trap version bears a lot of resemblance to Kemp’s model. This one comes in blue, red, silver, and volt yellow. Plenty of options to choose from. Pick it up here.
We snapped this a while back, and now this 12.75″ H-Web model is on sale. You can’t get it in the silver color, but you can get it in volt and red here.
The Vapor line isn’t much different than the MVP Select Line, besides the perforated leather palm and cord lace. The Vapor comes in 4 colors, two of which Cargo is holding above, and the others are the Volt color and dark green. Shop the Vapor models for $240, a $160 discount, here.
If you are skeptical about these models, know that pros like Matt Kemp, Cargo, George Springer, and more pros use these line of gloves as their EVERYDAY game glove.
