Fellow Venezuelan Freddy Garcia is supposedly the reason 16 year-old “King” Felix Hernandez signed with the Mariners back in 2002, despite the Mariners offering less money than several other teams (only $710k—not bad for a 16 year-old). Taking after Garcia, his boyhood idol, Felix Hernandez has rode a tumbling two-seam fastball all the way to a Cy Young award and two All-Star appearances at the ripe age of 26.
King Felix is dealing this year in Nike Air Huarache 2KFresh exclusives. These were hard to figure out, and I still couldn’t really tell you exactly what we’re dealing with.

Screenshot of Hernandez’ ridiculous pants covering his Nike Air Huarache 2KFresh cleats from MLB.tv.
Looks like they’ve got some white, some navy, and Mariner teal on the laces. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of these pants that are draped over the back of his shoes—not only because it makes my job harder for you all, but they just look dumb to me. The Huarache 2KFresh style is available all over the web, but just not in Felix Hernandez’ colors.
This highlight video is my favorite that I’ve posted on here. The song fits so well (Drake-The King), and Felix just looks nasty.
Felix Hernandez wears a Nike glove, and the Pro Precision Tradition series is what it looks most similar to, though we know that this is a 100% custom made glove, just for Felix (see Strasburg). The Pro Precision Tradition series is difficult to find online, and from what we’ve read, Felix’ and other pros’ Nike gloves are made in Japan, and the only way to get them is by keeping a watchful eye on eBay. The Nike N1 Elite series is a nice-looking alternative, and the BF1441 looks a lot like Felix’.
Felix Hernandez doesn’t wear shades on the mound, but he has been seen recently wearing the Nike Show X1 sunglasses on sunny off-days. Felix’ Show X1 sunglasses are navy, which are not available online. The ones in the feature photo ARE available.
Here’s Felix showing his comedic side in a commercial for the Mariners 2011 season. It’s hilarious…
Our best guess for the necklace Felix has been wearing recently is the Phiten X30 Shader in black/blue. He does seem to change these often, but when he threw 8 innings of 1-hit ball versus the Twins on May 5th, this is the one we saw.
You guys know I try to get you some lifestyle where I can, and I did find this picture of Felix wearing Skullcandy Roc Nation Aviator headphones. Have I finally gone too far? Is headphones too much? (I wish I knew the shades, honestly. They’re sharp.)

Thanks to Bobby for his help with this post.
CAN I GET A PICTURE OF THE NECKLACE HE IS WEARING IN THE THE BOSTON GAME?
