Rawlings decided to update their already sweet custom builder with some more options to make our customs even more custom.
Mesh
Rawlings decided to add mesh to their builder in two styles and three colors. You have the half mesh style, which is what Jarrod Dyson has on his glove above, and full mesh, like Adam Jones’ glove:
Rawlings offers mesh in traditional black, brown, and camo colors. We have all seen black, but brown and camo have yet to be seen on an MLB field. Let us know if you see one. You can get mesh on 1B mitts and catcher mitts, just like Yadi has:
If you’re not sure about mesh yet, check out our Mesh vs. Leather article here.
Custom Patches
Just like we showed you on the ColorSync gloves, Rawlings is now making custom-colored patches—not just red anymore: Here’s a gif showing all of the new offerings (don’t blink):
These are must-haves for every custom glove.
New patterns
Rawlings added a few patterns to their custom builder: Wing-Tip, 31 patterns, and the TT2. The Wing-Tip is going to be like the model Addison Russell uses and comes in 11.5″ and 11.75″.
The 31 pattern is new from Rawlings, featuring dual welting and a rounder pocket. It is great for infielders, and comes in sizes 11.5″, 11.75″, and 12″. We saw Wilmer Flores’ beauty earlier this season:
Lastly, Rawlings added the beloved TT2 pattern to the builder. It is going to be the same exact pattern as Tulo uses, flat fingers and shallow pocket.
Go try out the custom builder and new features here. The Christmas cut-off for ordering a Rawlings custom is 11/15, so get ’em in by then if you want custom leather for Christmas.
