What Pros Wear: Buster Posey (Glove, Chest Protector, Shin Guards, Mask)

buster posey glove model, buster posey chest protector, under armour shin guards, proscm34pjb, posey mask

Posey wears a Rawlings PROSCM34PJB glove and Under Armour gear.

Buster Posey, already one half of the battery in one of the greatest games ever pitched, uses a Rawlings Heart of the Hide PROSCM34PJB mitt.  It’s a handsome-looking glove with a unique burgundy inner web, and the mitt is very scarcely available online.

Posey briefly tried a two-piece mask in Spring Training this season, but quickly switched back to the All Star brand hockey-style mask.  The model is the MVP2500 and is available online.

Buster wears an Under Armour chest protector very similar to what you see in the feature, except his has some color variations and he also has two shoulder guards instead of the one (see below).  Posey’s is exclusive to him, but the version in the feature is available online.

Here’s another of him wearing something very similar to the chest protector in the feature back in May:

As for his shin guards, Buster Posey’s Under Armour gear is very similar to those you will find online, but the disappointing part is that they do not sell his orange color.  However, there are several different colors available online that are just like Posey’s style.

  1. The All-Star MVP2500 catcher’s helmet looks exactly the same as the Under Armour UAHG2-AP catcher’s helmet. Given that Buster Posey wears everything UA (cleats, chest protector, and leg guards), it’s a safer bet that his helmet is the UA UAHG2-AP as opposed to the All-Star MVP2500. Either way, they’re both basically the same helmet.
