I was watching the WBC tonight and it hit me what a glaring oversight it was that we hadn’t featured the 3-time All Star, 30-30 club member and NL MVP, not to mention absolute baller, Jimmy Rollins. The Oakland-born Rollins is one of only four current MLB members of the Jordan team (Jeter, Sabathia, Crawford—Andruw Jones is now in Japan), so its a pre-requisite that his style is well-polished.
Rollins has most recently been swinging a MaxBat C4, and according to a pro ballplayer we spoke with, “its a turning model made specifically for him.” Our pro source also said this, “The reason they call it that is because he called the guy up at MaxBat and told them he wanted an ‘explosive model.'”
Here’s a good look:
This model IS available online and can be customized on MaxBat’s website.
Last year we also saw Rollins swinging this Louisville Slugger M9 S318, also available online:
Rollins’ batting gloves are the Jordan Team style and in the image above you can see he’s wearing an exclusive grey/marble/red look for the WBC. For the Phillies, he wears these same greys for away games, and the whites you see below for home games.
The whites are available online, but not the greys.
For the WBC, Rollins pulled out the USA-inspired Jordan 12 cleats that sent the Instagram sneaker community into a frenzy when he posted these pictures (its a slideshow, click right for more):
Rollins also wears the 12s in Phillies colors:
And in white at home:
As you would expect, these are exclusives, but there are a few Jordan cleat styles out there that stay true to their hoop roots.
As always, the standard highlight reel for your enjoyment:

Jordan Brand Cleats (just a general search for Jordans since we can’t get Rollins’ 12s)
