After giving D. Price a look yesterday, it didn’t feel right leaving the NL’s best pitcher of 2012, R.A. Dickey off the WPW roster.
Have you ever heard of a pitcher who had to provide the catcher’s mitt when he pitched? Dickey had to do just that as he made his way up as a knuckleballer, lasting over 50 games through the minors and into the majors, being worn by several different catchers on the way.
As for the glove actually on Dickey’s hand this year, he wore the same model as the glove in the feature, a Rawlings PRO1200PRB a Rawlings PRO504-12JB with a vertical-hinged web. The glove is a 12.5 inch, made with black Japanese Heart of the Hide leather, not the Pro Preferred you see in the feature (below). Dickey also has a finger hood with his number on it. This glove is not available online.

Though Dickey’s exact model isn’t available, a very similar glove, the Heart of the Hide Pro Mesh PRO12VHPM is available scarcely online.
As for his footwear, Dickey wore a couple different versions late in the 2012 season—one being the black version of the New Balance 4040 you see above, and another grey/black version. The black version IS available online, while the grey/black is too, but slightly tweaked for 2013.

The difference in the 2013 version is that the cloth on the inside of the shoe is now the MARPAT we saw on a few of the New Balance guys at the All-Star game.
Here’s Dickey showing David Letterman how to throw his knuck—pretty interesting:
And lastly, Dickey dealin’ that Bugs Bunny:
