Update – 8.21.2012
Bat – Marucci AP5 Low Density Maple (unchanged, available)
The photo above is of a bat from Pujols’ 2010 season, but he’s still swinging the AP5. The version he swings now is a low density maple, and the only difference we saw from an March 2012 bat is the weight is 1/10th of an ounce heavier (31.8 oz, photo below).
It’s not easy to see, but the number on the right is 1-8, a 34 inch, 31.8 oz bat.
Batting Gloves – Nike Diamond Elite Pro Pujols (unchanged, available)
At home, Pujols is wearing the same Nike Diamond Elite Pro white on white gloves with a red swoosh from our original Pujols profile. For away games, now, he is wearing the same style with a blue swoosh (photo below).
Cleats – Nike Air Max Diamond Elite Fly (new colors, available but not in Pujols exclusives)
Also, try NIKEiD for your own exclusive Diamond Elite Fly styles.
Pujols wears the grey-toed version of the Nike Air Max Diamond Elite Fly MCS that you see above for away games. For home games, he wears a similar black-toed version (see below).
I love the black—looks like a matte finish. What do you think?
Pujols has also been wearing a black Nike wristband lately that, NO SURPRISE, you cannot find anywhere online. Check it out and we’ll just have to keep dreaming until Nike smartens up and starts producing these for the masses.
