Bat
Trout is staying with the Old Hick for 2013, not surprising considering he made hitting look way too damn easy last year. Trout’s bat is a 33.5 drop 2, but the ounces can vary on these bats based on the density of the wood. This bat is available online.
Batting Gloves
Trout most recently wore the Diamond Elite Pro II’s you see in the feature (available), and has also been seen in an exclusive version (below), which we couldn’t find anywhere online.
Cleats
Trout started off the season with the grey/red/black version you see in the feature (which we Photoshopped as best as we could), an exclusive version of the MVP Pro. He’s also worn a black/white/red, both exclusives.
Though there are subtle differences (the toe), Trout’s shoe is very similar to the Nike MVP Strike Low, also available online.
Wristband
This one is pretty tough to see, but Trout wears a small rubber wristband on his right wrist (you can also see it in the above photo of Trout jumping). The company, named BIONICFAMILY, says the band “offers a heightened frequency that allows the body to perform at peak level. It is meant for use during intense physical activity and can provide a powerful energy boost,” and the band is available. The Phiten/PowerBalance type-stuff always leaves me skeptical because there is so much marketing behind it, but this one is even more interesting because if we didn’t stumble on it and tell you all, no one would have ever known about it. I wonder if these things actually work. It makes me very curious to try it.
